About the event
Henry Israeli's poetry collections include Our Age of Anxiety (winner of the White Pine Press Prize, 2019), god’s breath hovering across the waters (Four Way Books: 2016)
Trunk Show was founded in 2024 with Delray Vicks, Christian Luevano, and Maya Buchanan. In early 2025, they began recording tracks for their debut EP, trunkshow. Shortly after recording, Luevano won an audition to play with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. Soon after, he was replaced by Dimitri Mattas on bass, and shortly thereafter, Maxence Dauriat -Rancurel joined on percussion. Dimitri and Maxence share piano duties.
Buchanan, Mattas, and Dauriat-Rancurel are all classically trained musicians. Vicks lives another life as a novelist and short story writer and is currently a songwriter for Florida-based country outfit, Delray Banks and the Prophets.
