Business English
You can combine English study (at Upper-Intermediate or Advanced level) with Business Studies.
The biggest barrier for students who are not native-English speakers is the language barrier. Study in English involves much listening, reading, writing and speaking. Work on English skills is often the most effective way for these students to achieve high grades in business studies.
At Phlair International College, English extension classes are available for all enrolled New Zealand Institute of Management (NZIM) students. These classes are focused on English for business studies and are designed to help students overcome language difficulties and get the most out of their business studies. They are an excellent way to improve English language skills and become a better candidate for employment in New Zealand or other English-speaking country after the NZIM qualification.
Classes run for 5 hours per week during term-time.
Please contact us for more details.
English for Teachers
This is a specialised ESOL study programme combining English (at Upper-Intermediate or Advanced level) with study of education in New Zealand. Please contact us for more details.
New Zealand Experience Programmes
Short-term programmes are designed to provide a New Zealand experience to international students looking to improve their English at the same time. They are not intended to lead to a qualification or to employment. They do include teaching to help you make the most of your time in New Zealand and you will improve your English language skills. Such programmes are a great opportunity to find out what New Zealand has to offer. Please contact us for more details.
